Tuesday night, the NBA fined the New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas $50,000 because he was questioning the treatment Stephon Marbury was getting from the officials. After the Knicks lost 103-94 to the New Orleans Hornets Saturday night, Thomas criticized the referees.

After the game, Thomas said, "I see a lot of other players drive to the basket and get fouled and go to the foul line, and I don't understand what he's done to receive the type of treatment he's getting and the lack of respect he is getting from the officials."

Thomas is typically cautious of what he says when working under Madison Square Garden's stern media policies, but he was perturbed after two rough defeats.
