The Portland Oregon Blazers 21 year old Brandon Roy was in the lead for the Rookies with an average 16.3 points and and four assists per game. Roy had been scoring in the double digits in 41 of the 49 games averaging 4.4 rebounds a game with four double doubles.

The 6 foot 6 guard had a heel injury that required him to sit out for twenty games. When he heeled he became a starter and is now the fourth player from the Blazers to have made the All Star Rookie squad. He sure is a talented young man and has a lot of potential for his age.
