Qualified rumors inside the LA Clippers basketball franchise have said that they have set their sights on point guard, Steve Francis. Francis is an all-star who has become a free agent as of this trading season. The Portland Trail Blazers got their hands on him this past Thursday but are expected to buy out his final two years making him a free agent. The final two years of Steve Francis' basketball contract are worth a reported 34.25 million dollars. The Clippers have to wait until at the soonest July 11, 2007 to sign him. The Clippers want the eight year basketball veteran for a portion of the mid-level exception. News of this trade has excited Francis because if he moves to the Clippers he will be teammates with long time friend, Cuttino Mobley.
