So I sat down and watched the Lakers and Rockets NBA basketball home opener yesterday that was played in LA and by the sounds that fans gave Kobe in the beginning they were still hesitant to call him a team player. Kobe was quoted saying something like he is completely ready to play and focused on winning but by the performance shown yesterday desperation was all I saw. After the second half the Rockets basketball players dominated on defense and kept to a solid offense that gave them an over ten point lead. Near the end of the fourth the Lakers were clawing back with big offensive and defensive plays, coming within two but could not hold the Rockets especially Yao Ming from scoring key shots. Kobe like usual became the team taking every shot he could not matter how many people he had to get around. He gave a valiant effort scoring 45 points but the final score was till 95-93 Houston and that made many LA players and fans upset for the start of their season. As far as the west goes the Lakers will not be a threat to NBA basketball teams like the Suns.
