NBA Basketball - The Portland Draft |

There seem to be many doubters in the Portland Oregon area asking if Greg Oden can play NBA Basketball. He is already being compared to one of the all time bonehead draft day decisions in NBA Basketball history when Portland drafted Sam Bowie ahead of Michael Jordan.
I say, give the man a chance. NBA Basketball is a high speed game that is definitely wearing on the body. His knee can be repaired and will be as good as new thanks to new surgical techniques developed due to sports injuries.
If his first day of NBA Basketball was any representation of what he is able to do, he will be fine. Oden impressed everyone at the Trailblazer practice facility in Tualatin, Oregon. He is described as a good teammate and a fun guy to be around. The Blazers need someone like that on the team. His athletic skills are amazing and he should be able to play NBA Basketball at a very high level starting with the 2008 season.
